Yes I was in Turkey last autumn and I brought 3 pairs of kispet( leather pants for oil wrestling. Good leather and very well done. I enjoy to have it at my place.I will try turkish wrestling this spring when it is not as cold.
I was many years ago in Turkey for the festival of turkish wrestling and I remember the atmosphere was pretty exciting.

I have yet to see any of them advertised for sale by any vendor in the USA or Canada. Is their distribution restricted via trademark or other issues limited to sales only to Turkey?

No, it is not sell any other place than in Turkey that I know. Plus they have to have excatly your measurements.I brought a pair for AverageJoe. He gave me his measurements and it fit him perfectly on him.

And I want to say thanks again Kolter. It is a wonderful piece of gear to have. It really does fit great - even better than you saw, now that it is well oiled.
And while I am not very good at it Spruce (no formal training), I have hosted some yagi gures in my back yard - see picture below in this string. If you do make it up for Thunderdome, perhaps we can give it a go.

The demand in this country must be very light; otherwise some enterprising person would set up shop making them. If there are such makers of them, maybe they get all the orders they can fill via word of mouth.

Guess there would not be much of a market here anyway; as in all my life have met only less than a handful of guys into doing the oil thing – and none citing a desire for getting a kispet. Appears that most guys who talk about oil or put it in their profiles, do so as so many do for MMA – to make it look like they are into "exotic" things

Almost 7 months later and still know of only one guy in the Wash DC area who is willing to oil up and take me on. I think we are a tiny minority in the wrestling community. A real niche commodity. Prove me wrong; and take me on.

Turkish wrestling is awesome; and is really about primal expression of power (with more control and technique than some think). As a for instance, propper grip from inside the kisbet is hand facing out (for purchase and leverage by gripping the kisbet), not copping a feel. However, I will say that although the latter is technically illiegal, it does work well in a recreational setting.....:)

Would def be signed up fir a Turkish delight match with you man. Hope the shoulder is coming along. Had my rebuilt years ago Re dislocation. .putti plate repair..I get it!

THanks bro. This was a total replacement that failed and got totally replaced again. If it happens a third time will probably kill myself, but right now, very optimistic.....:)

Hey guys.Having competed in it is fun,horny,and very much enjoyable!

So few posts the past couple year. Guess it doesn't have a big following. What a shame :( Never heard of anyone into it locally–in fact very few into oil wrestling either.

I'd be game for it, if anyone were nearby who would do it with me....would have to settle for it wearing less exotic (& less expensive) garb at the mid section (e.g. use a judo belt).

I am suprised there is not a club in this country as we have strong turkish communitys or perhaps there is and its a secret!

A response to the 2010 comments.....The interpretation...was not very believable or credible , 'psychoanalysis' does not have the answer for all.Turkish wrestling from ancient Anatolia seems very primal though.The Turks were allies of the Germans before the great war , a century ago.

When I was running my Gay Wrestling Group in the 1970s I thought of introducing yagli güres but unfortunately the Group ended before I could effect this. Especially since yagli güres tournaments were being held annually in Amsterdam at the time.

If you are interested in trying or doing yagli güres send me your name and location, and if there are enough guys in each place we can try to initiate tournaments. Instead of a leather kispet one can wear jeans (possibly slightly cut off) and in Britain there are commons in practically every town which will lend themselves to being used for Turkish wrestling, whether karakojak or yagli güres. donphoenix

People think oiled wrestling is sexy because when a woman reaches a sexual climax she produces an oily liquid in her vagina which brings the man to a climax too.
