SoCal Wrestlefest

I vote for LAX again

Just saw this, would totally drive from Vegas to SoCal attend a west coast version of Wrestlefest!

I heard the LA wrestlefest months ago had a low turnout, we should try to organize another one. O

Long story short...

I wanted to create a west coast wrestling experience for guys in california. The founder of wrestlefest in new york put together an event here in California (hotel matches). I had nothing to do with it.

Slater Jackson and I have been managing the SoCal Wrestling Ordeal events for the last 2 years which have been really successful. It’s for guys into pro wrestling with proper ring attire. They took place in Santa Ana at the Remley Hughes ring.

Sad news. The ring is closing down. The guys and I are getting together one last time in June to make new memories. Best. IM for info.

Since there’s a lot of confusion... we’ll be changing the name of this group to the SoCal Ordeal.

The SoCal Wrestling Ordeal is at a pro wrestling ring.

All styles of wrestling are open.

Guys fly in from around north america and stay at the hotels nearby. Matches are coordinated in advance with ring time allotted for freestyle matches as well. Ring attire is encouraged (for aesthetics and safety).

What LA Wrestlefest?

Best place would be at a place with good public transit access and plenty of mat space, perhaps at one of the openmat sessions that BJJ schols offer to the public. This way plenty of wrestlers at all levels for everyone.

If we do Palm Springs I have two spare bedrooms!

non holiday would be best for cost of travel. i'd suggest OC for the ring and plenty of hotels nearby for additional and or more private matches.
