Nobody came forth to take me on over the four-day weekend; so I did my 3-way crunches during the weekend. Three way by tensing the sets of muscles simultaneously – abs, obliques, and back muscles-lats. Did 17,000 of the 3-ways, or a total of 51,000 flexes---and since I'm not cupping the head in my hands, but rather putting the weight of my arms on the forehead or pushing the sides, those neck muscles are also getting exercised. One can also work other muscles as well when doing these, just as I work a lot of the upper body while taking walks.
A look at the composite recommendation list for the site, it appears there was virtually no activity locally as far as new meet ups with fellow wrestlers/grapplers over the Thanksgiving weekend. It usually is the start of a rather dormant time for action on the mats until a week or so after New Year's Day. If you are looking for someone to take on, I'm usually available, and have one of the very few mat rooms locally, even has mats on the (often mentioned in my recommendations.) walls
Monday morning---no soreness or stiffness there ----- yet!
Since nobody had come forth to hit the mats with me since before Thanksgiving, I extended my first experiment to ten days, and managed to get in 40,000 (or 120,000 separate motions) averaging 4,000 daily – some with a 25-lb weight on the chest. If I proceed with an idea to shoot for a million reps in a year's time, the next goal would be 100, 000 in a month's time. With luck on the wrestling/grappling front – I.e., finding enough matches to occupy my time (a superior mode of exercising), I won't need (or want) to shoot for all those crunches. Reckon that if I don't get in lots of guys to take me on, I might end up with some really tough midsection muscles. BTW – I also exercise the rest of the body.

For those of you who are not gorging and shopping this holiday weekend, this would be a good time to visit and hit the mats with me. Open to light to moderate wrestling/grappling here in my matroom–on real mats sure beat a mattress or hard floor. Quite diverse in whom I will wrestle and what I do.
