What the older guys and girls bring to the table is experience and a mature understanding of why we have a need to do this. Get the hype with pain out of the way and approach the meeting with an expectation to enjoy the experience. Its not about trying to destroy your partner, but more of how to get them to reach nirvana in such a way that they will want you to do it again. I take my time to explore and in doing so have shared some great moments with other sentient beings.
No one has mentioned this. Would an older guy have had more time to toughen ups his abs? I'm talking about exercises, driving a medicine ball into your abs, self punches, live sessions, etc.
Hearing that and recognizing that I have no such shared views indicates that GP covers a very wide swath of interests from the timid to the extreme.
However you experience it, to each his own. No judgements either way. But I hope this additional information has been a learning experience for all of us.
HI i love gut punching senses i was was kid and at 63 years of age still love it ,its not so much about the pain with me its the turn on i get when i feel the punch driving deep into my gut. thats why i do it .
Been into gutpunching since I was six. I'm sixty now and don't think I'll ever lose the desire. I have no hang ups when it comes to age race or shape considering how rare it is to find guys to meet up with.
Been into GP since I was a kid, and so I'd tend to agree for two reasons: one already mentioned, which is that guys who have a lot of years of experience in GP know their pain tolerance and limits better and are more comfortable with & more willing to push it. The other is that guys who have been into it for some years or more stay with it because they like it and have decided its a major focus of enjoyment & connection for them!
I can definitely see that. Met up with a guy a few years ago that was "really into gutpunching" but would drop or guard after what I'd call my lighter punches. Asked me to sucker punch him and at maybe 10% power he was done. 22 or 23 I think.
I think experience vs fantasy makes more a difference than age. When you've had sessions more frequently and know your limits plus being willing and eager to push them is the key.
I realised that many younger guys low pain tolerance when it comes to gut punching and they kinda boring. But older guys like 40s and 50s are more fun and have hotter and more fun taste in gut punching.
Interesting comment about older guys having more pain tolerance. Can you explain why you believe that to be true. Does pain tolerance seem to improve with age?
No, and its not about pain tolerance. Its about intensity, patience and focus. Those are the attributes that improve with age. Pain tolerance is just one application of those attributes.
I think everyone experiences pain differently. I think experience in life leads to better tolerance towards pain/negativities. That’s probably what he means, is that those who have been around for much longer may have better tolerance to pain.
Spot on. That's exactly what I mean. It seems like younger guys seem to be confused about the whole gut punching thing. Maybe because we're new to it and never really kniw what more can make a session exciting.
