If it's a verbal submission fight, and your opponent goes down,or is just covering up, not throwing anymore punches, but wont give up to you,do you keep up the blows till he does?
Hopefully the two boxers have discussed all possibilities (or most possibilities) before stepping into the ring. If not, my preference would be to stop the bout if one fight is not throwing any punches, as it is a boxing match. Defense is great, but if you don't have an offense, they why are you in the ring, unless it is a one sided fight that you were looking for, and there again, you follow the rules set.
For safety reasons, saving by the bell for me is something I am not a fan of...If you are down and have to be saved by the bell, then it was a KO....Also for safety, a TKO rule is valid, as you don't want to end boxing when in truth you shouldn't be due to too many hits.

2019-11-04 08:03It depends. I'll discuss rules with the opponent. Sometimes I do it, sometimes not.

Rules don't change.
Rules are set for a reason, to protect both boxers and to ensure nothing permanent happens.

Rules are set before fights, so why would they change? It all is going to depend on who you are boxing, and what the two of you decide.
