I had asked this in the chat, but I'll put it on here. So in all your time of being on here, those of you that's been on here for some time and had matches. Would you say meeting for matches has given you more confidence about yourself? Do you see a change with yourself? Are you more comfortable with your body and capabilities?
I don't say my selfconfidence became stronger, since my first match was with a very strong wrestler who showed me that this is definitely not my cup of tea:-)
The 2nd match took place with a very arrogant boxer....
Honestly, meetfighters is with exceptions not the place to improve selfconfidence or strength, but to meet different kinds of fighters, sometimes better not to meet;-)
For me, it’s less confidence (although this has helped) and more feeling relaxed. Most matches would be fraught with what-ifs and there’s less of that now. These days, I just roll with the punches and have fun.
It’s also made me feel more comfortable with talking about things I like or that I want without as much fear of seeming weird for doing so. That’s been nice.
