Make me a challenge.
I had scheduled a wrestling party with a friend on Staten Island. Knowing that he wrestles guys from all around the area, I assumed he would have some guys over for an afternoon of grappling. Unfortunately, some of the guys couldn't make it. But JFighter was one who did. We started out as a three-way grappling match but then J and I just went at it, one-on-one. We did everything, including a ball-claw contest, which came to a draw. He's got one tough headlock and it was hard to get out of it. I don't remember exactly how the match ended but I think he got more submissions out of me than I did him. Great attitude and nice guy off the mats but one terrific wrestler/fighter on the mats.
Wrestled with Roughmatch some years back at the Hillside wrestling weekend. He is one tough, fast, wrestler, with all kinds of quick moves. He can take it every bit as much as he can dish it out. A really fun guy on the mats and off. Sure hope he can make it my way one of these days for an encore..or two..or three.
After an extremely long time, I finally was able to meet up with Roughmatch. He is extremely strong, and even tougher. This man will take whatever you dish out and will give it back. He will also go as rough as you want but will remain safe and sane. The bottom line is that is was a very intense, sweaty and fun time. My only regret is that it took so long to meet him. Can't recommend him enough.
Matjock and I go a long way back as online friends. We have wanted to fight each other for years but never had the opportunity until today. I knew he would be strong but he amazed me with his strength and ability. Very nice guy. Always looking out for both men as we were in a tight space (hotel rooms just don't do the sport justice) and I thought the intensity was just about perfect. It was a lot of fun and he is strong and skilled. Happy to recommend him.
I've had a few matches with this guy: early on, grappling only. Then he was one of the first I felt trustable enough to add real rough punches (he excels at those!). He is an authentic and kind man. He is also reliable and "real".
I was long haul trucking and got stuck in Phoenix for the weekend. A wrestler friend of mine referred me to a local guy with mats. The local guy, in turn, knew Rowdy and invited him over to fight me. It was 110 degrees outside that July day but we went at it like we were killing crocodiles. He was tough and beat me after nearly an hour but he was a worthy opponent. Since that day, we have wrestled in Portland Oregon, three times. He beat me again the second time we wrestled but I beat him the last two times. He is a great wrestler and loves the sport. He was very friendly and fun to fight.
You want tough? Just meet up with Hard abs. He does sit ups daily. He works out hard and can take gut punches at any intensity level. He is a modest wrestler, having most of his time spent in gut punches. I will meet up with him any day. He is a super nice guy and a lot of fun. Just make sure you tighten your gut if he punches you!
I had a great time wrestling Roughmatch. He is a real scrapper ! If you get a chance wrestle him.
Have wrestled this bare chested stud twice .... once in Utah and once in Seattle. I am ready to lock horns again, bare chested man against bare chested man, drenching in sweat to the end!
This is truly what you see is what you get–tough as nails, strong and muscular, respectful of limits, friendly off the mats, all business on them. I would wrestle him every day if possible.
Began chatting with this wrestler online many years ago. We worked out some fantasy matches that, if we could meet, we would execute. As usual, distance proved to thwart our plans: he on the East Coast, myself on the West Coast. However, due to an invitation from a strong tough wrestler I had encountered at Hillside Wrestling, I visited the very town where Senior Bear lives. After wrestling my host, he left for some errands and allowed Senior Bear to come wrestle me at the apartment. In his younger years, Senior Bear had wrestled tough endurance matches at a local gym after hours and had great skill and strength. Even now, he hadn't lost much of that. We wrestled around for a good while and he even used his signature submission hold on me: a hyper-ventilating bear hug. I totally enjoyed myself and would love to see him again. He is not ready for any all-out brawl but if you are in the area, he would be willing to do some light wrestling and exchange of holds.
Awesome and skilled grappler. One of my best matches ever in my career. Rough but sane. Not afraid to get into the action. Nice guy. Great attitude. Will recommend him in an instant. This man knows what real submission wrestling is all about. He's rough and tough, just the way I like my bouts.
Roughmatch is a fun, tough and skilled wrestler with a lot of endurance, had a great time wrestling him! A couple of hours plus of an intense and sweaty pro battle for submission pretty much sums up our session, looking forward to our next battle! A very nice guy both on and off the mats, I highly recommend Roughmatch guys...
Rough Neck is a good skilled strong wrestler. We wrestled for 2 1/2 hours non stop and the mat was covered with sweat from both of us after the first 20 minutes. He is a wonderful guy on and off the mats, although he is strong and hard to submit. I recommend him highly.
i remember our Battle Royale in NYC, a sprawling, brawling good time on the mats. Rough Match is as he described. Reliable, fun. When he gets back to the Big Apple, I hope another Tag Team/Battle Royale can be arranged.
I was in NYC for a wrestling trip several years ago. My host arranged for a tag team match of four men. Samson_Jr was one of the four. We wrestled and wrestled and although I had size on him, he put up a great fight. It was a blast and I hope to wrestle him again.
Rob and I hassled about 10 yrs ago,, good man
After a year of challenges and threats I finally met this guy for a two day match. Both fighters agreed to fight with few rules and gear. We locked up as soon as we got in the room. The fighting was intense and competitive. Rough match is exactly what he says he is a true warrior that fights to win an doesn't back down. I had to use everything I had to beat this guy, and it wasn't easy. He's strong, skilled, and made me work hard for the win. I would definitely recommend this tough guy to anyone who wants to push the limits of their fight game. I look forward to our next brawl.
where do I start? this guy and i went two days of wrestling, and I had a blast. we started competitive but he is so strong, we knew we had to scale it down. I would recommend him for anyone. He is safe, sane, yet rough. Just know he will probably submit you. He is the toughest and strongest wrestler I have met in 19 years of wrestling.
we had a great match at hillside he is one strong dude and loves to go at it for hours if you get a chance take him on
I wrestled this man at Hillside Wrestling weekend one year. He is a big tough guy and we had a great time. Unfortunately, Hillside rules forbade any kind of No Holds Barred match but one day this wrestler and I will have a no rules fight. Great attitude and lots of fun to be with.
This wrestler was very kind in hosting me for a couple of days, even helping with some of the travel expenses. We had a few short but good wrestling matches; however, he was unable to take time off work for wrestling and some of the time I was there, he had to work. This was an unfortunate situation that could not be helped.
He is a great guy and fun to wrestle.
A very rough and aggressive wrestler, he can take a pounding and give it out just the same, alot of sweaty action, very hard to submit. Do not let his size fool you, or you will be the fool. looking forward to another match with this guy!
I had a wrestling match scheduled with this wrestler. It required about a two-hour drive each way to wrestle him. He showed up as promised, invited me in, and we stripped down. It was a hotel room and we were limited on wrestling space but we still had a very good wrestling match. We became fast friends as we wrestled. He's a solid, tough muscled wrestler and made me work hard during the match, which I expect from any opponent. He knew holds and moves and did not just lie down and let me beat him. He's a very decent clean wrestler. Tough, strong, good-natured. Can be rough or gentle as needed. One of my best wrestling matches ever. Can't wait until he has another reason to travel back here. Glad to recommend him. Well worth the effort.
I have met this wrestler a couple of times. He asked that I not resist, which I obliged. He knows a lot of painful compliance holds, which I enjoy.
Tough guy in the match but a very nice guy when not wrestling. He wrestles to win and loves to take control.
I would recommend him unless you are not into rough.
we met a while back for a short match, he is quite tough and can both give an take some good punishment. Nice guy, respects limits and is safe and sane
Wrestled in 1997. Very skilled grappler and kick boxer. We had just a few minutes but enjoyed the match. I was fairly new to wrestling but he adjusted the intensity level. I am always up for another bout with him. Very nice guy and fun to wrestle.
This grappler was one of my matches at the start of my wrestling career. Having little or no knowledge of submission wrestling, I went into the match with little hope of getting the upper hand.
This man was totally cool with a "newbie". He was massively hairy and the sweat rolled easily from both of us. His signature finisher is the sleeper to which I succumbed several times during the match.
Very hospitable guy and fun to roll with. I always appreciate men who, although they are highly skilled and muscled, will work with a new guy and show him the "ropes".
Redlandguy and I wrestled a number of years ago. He was much more advanced in grappling skills than I. Yet he wrestled me at my skill level and even offered me some training on technique, defense, etc. He's very strong and skilled and hard to submit. But very nice guy off the mats and very open to differences in skill levels between him and his opponent. One of my best experiences ever.
Both of us attended OKIE Rumble and that's where we wrestled. I was a newcomer to the sport of submission wrestling and of course this grappler out muscled and out wrestled me. But he was a good sport and didn't flaunt his win. We enjoyed the match and had a good time.
Short match in a "round robin" style on submission mats at Hillside Wrestling. Never have wrestled him in a full start to finish bout but have my dreams. He is a great wrestler and his chiseled body drives me crazy! Like to see him apply scissor holds as well as see him suffer in them. I'm hoping one day to be KO'd with one of his head scissors from those monster thighs.
I was barely learning how to wrestle when a California underground fight leader invited me to his mat room for a wrestling birthday party. This wrestler I am reviewing was one of the attendees. We wrestled on and off with each other and with other wrestlers there. It was fun although I didn't have a clue how to wrestle. He has always been fun and a great wrestler.
Rough and rugged is how I would describe this wrestler. We wrestled on numerous occasions and can really get into it. We both sweat heavily and have a good hard match, but stay friends afterward.
Anyone in the SW Washington (state) area wanting to sweat on the mats, here's your man.
Short match with Mongo during a "round robin" in the pro ring at Hillside. He is a huge man but has a great personality and has great sportsmanship. Although I could have been easily bulldozed through the canvas, he toyed with me and allowed me to have fun, considering the huge weight difference.
Wrestled submission at Hillside in a "round robin" affair with several other men. He outweighed me and the match was very short but he was very cordial and knew how to hold back so as not to crush me underneath him. His knowledge of MMA helped him use an arm bar to submit me.
I wrestled this massive hunk at the OKIE Rumble. During part of the match, I got on my knees with my hands behind my back and allowed him to use his big feet to kick me in my midsection. It was a hot time we had. He likes it rough, as do I. Am hoping for another limited rules bout with him sometime.
Both of us attended the Hillside Wrestling Weekend on several occasions. We wrestled a good match on the submission mats. He was very strong and skilled. He out-weighed and out-muscled me, which gave me challenges I could not overcome. I lost to him in several rounds but he was very sportsmanlike and a lot of fun to fight.
I met this grappler while on a visit to the Chicago area. I had multiple destinations throughout the city with multiple opponents. This man made time in his busy schedule to pick me up and go to his apartment. He was very hospitable and, though we didn't have room to wrestle, we rough housed and had a good time. I'm always ready to meet him again, hopefully in a ring or cage or on mats.
Too much fun for words! He arrived and had his own mats and after some prep we oil wrestled including my kind of kink for 7 hours on one cold day. Can’t express enough how fun he is – comes out of the gate tough then turns out to be a fun competitive opponent. You will be doing yourself a favor to take him on!
WarriorMuscle is a great guy to wrestle. Although he was far stronger and more skilled than I, he knew how to hold back so the match was enjoyed by both of us. He could have easily squashed me in submission but he is a great talented wrestler and made it fun. If you want to pit your strength against a strongman, here's your man.
Wrestled on the mats at Hillside wrestling. This guy is one tough fighter. We wrestled submission and he is very good. I've seen him wrestle pro but I like to think of him as a submission fighter. I think he might go NHB but those types of fights were not allowed during the Hillside Wrestling Weekend.
We wrestled long ago indeed in okie rumble. Nice guy who really likes his wrestling, will give u a good time. Hope i wrestle him again
What can I say about this guy! Great guy and fum to beat on in a ring or on mats! Always comes back for more. Looking forward to another round with him!
Wrestled this hunk as part of a three-way fight in Hollywood, CA, a number of years ago. Was beaten pretty soundly in the fight. Following the fight, he tied me to the ring ropes and had his way with me using a rubber flogger on my bare back. A proper way to use a loser as a pain slave. Highly recommend this fighter for a good strong bout.
I wrestled this tough guy many times at Hillside Wrestling. He is very skilled. Smaller guy but don't let that fool you. He has some very punishing holds. Pleasure to fight him and he comes recommended if you want to have a good sweaty rassle.
This man enjoys the face2face challenge. Eager, aggressively fun, and enthusiastic, you will not have a ho-hum match. I am always glad when someone willingly wrestles with me even though my weight is significantly greater; he trusted me enough to control my weight...and as a result I had a series of good matches.
Met this wrestler on several occasions at the annual Hillside Wrestling Weekend. As he is very well-muscled, he could have easily destroyed me in our match. But he brought the intensity down to my level and even worked with me on technique. To go along with his awesome pecs, arms, and midsection, he has a great personality and willingness to help us who are not-so-good-wrestlers to become better.
I met this fighter for a pre-arranged one-sided total beat down. Yes, I was turned into a human punching bag. He used several types of gloves as well as his bare fists on my midsection. I never been gut punched so thoroughly and completely as with this guy. It lasted over an hour. Both of us stripped to the waist and sweaty. He is very careful to start light and work into heavy and will not take you past your limits but he definitely pushed my limits to take more than I thought I could. He left bruises that I carried for over a week (with pride, of course)!
Met rough match a few times in Seattle. Great guy and tough as nails yet safe and sane. If your in the area I would def recommend you look him up.
Great guy to wrestle. We've had lots of matches including a memorable and very rough match at the Okie Rumble, and a more recent sub match with an audience in the boxing ring of my gym (after a match on the home mats and a workout at said gym). Rough sub and striking's all cool. Look him up if you're in the area.
Smallest guy I've ever wrestled. Lean and mean. Nicknamed the "Energizer Bunny" because of his endless stamina. I've seen him wrestle multiple guys over a space of just a few minutes. Doesn't like his action real rough but don't be fooled. He usually makes me tap out to a cradle every time. Excellent wrestler in collegiate and submission. Great host. Nice attitude. Willing to teach. One of my best buds on and off the mats. Love the impromptu fights he starts, even when there are no mats. He comes highly recommended. He will wrestle guys twice his size and often make them tap.
A real "shoot fighter" who can hang with the best of them. Do not let his weight fool you, he can handle himself even with men 100# heavier.
A nice guy off the mat, and one I would wrestle again anytime.
Have wrestled him several times over the years, most recently in January, 2014 and it's always a great match, tough battle, and lots of satisfaction all around. Highly recommended!
Have wrestled RFC on a number of occasions: namely, in West Hollywood and in Seattle. He is a strong, tough opponent who will go all out in a match, including low blows and CBT. Nice guy off the mats; on the mats he fights to win. Has a sadistic side for victim torture, which is also nice! Comes highly recommended.
